Mesa instantánea.
My urban kitchen line up goes as follows: oven pinned up against the fridge wedged between the stand up washer dryer snug against the dining table….which doubles as the desk, the countertop, the laundry folding station. Anybody relate to a similar squish situation?
Clever clamps at table top height rescue small living spaces. The Instant Table by Why The Friday specializes in square footage deficiencies. Freedom to choose the size of the top makes this guy suitable for any challenging floor plan. Tear down is simple, easy to store when not in use. The cool blue hue compliments both modern and vintage decor. As such a versatile piece it can be used as a console table filled with picture frames or even a desk spread with a laptop, printer and books.

BLING

Its base, with the reverse diamond shape, is giving it a strong and stable support while the seating area is made of hexagon cut oak wood. With a metal thread that is used for adjusting the height, Bling is ideal for studios, workshops, kitchens & bars. It has a basic coating on its metal parts so it has that workshop ruff look about it that we really like.
Bling was exhibited at Belgrade Furniture Fair, 2012.

is an easy adaptable chair made in two types, the regular one and the bar chair.

Marlon Darbeau‘s Peera is not a bench with just one function. It also doubles up as a toolbox and table. Marlon works in Trinidad and Tobago, and has found success with the Peera design, exhibiting it as part of the Global Africa Project in NY, which is open until May the 15th next year. Perhaps it’s because I live in such a small flat, but whenever I see clever uses of convergence like the Peera, Thanks Christian for showing this!

Transmutation implies transformation of state. Artist Raphael Volkmer presents the crossover from an artistic performance to an aesthetic production with “Pewter Transmutation.” Starting with a pot of molten pewter, Volkmer pours the silvery liquid into a tube of backing paper to form the three legs of his stool-in-making, and then joins the mirrored pools on the surface of the seat with a tri-star. The dance is intriguing, each movement choreographed and practiced with the precision of a master alchemist. Out of the mold emerges a custom piece of beautifully handcrafted oak and charismatic, twisted legs of pewter that bear the imperfections and dimples of the low-cost casting method. The stool is not just the end result of a transmutation, but represents an alteration of the concept of production. Public manufacturing, aided by the reusable tools and low melting point of pewter, becomes the essence of the piece and puts forth the possibility of art made unique through the simple process of its creation.

leatherman Raptor. Una locura.
Leatherman Raptor Medical Multi-Tool
Posted on September 12th, 2012 by Stuart
Looking at Leatherman’s product line it is clear which multi-tools are designed for casual users, everyday users, those with heavier-duty needs, law enforcement officers, and military personnel. The newest tool is designed with a narrower audience in mind – uniformed medics.
Leatherman’s Raptor is a specialized multi-tool specially designed to aid medics in their life-saving efforts. Although primarily aimed at medics, the Raptor multi-tool looks to be exceptionally well suited for EMTs, rescuers, and other first responders as well.
Some of Leatherman’s other multi-tools, such as the new one-handed tool (OHT), also appeal to a broader audience despite being more tactically inspired in style and functions.
Raptor Features:
- 420HC stainless steel cutting shears
- carbide glass breaker
- strap cutter
- 5 cm ruler
- ring cutter
- oxygen tank wrench
- lanyard hole
Folded up the Raptor can be clipped to your pants or gear pocket, and in the closed position the strap cutter (opposite side) can still be easily and quickly deployed with one hand.
The Raptor will come with an included MOLLE-compatible polymer holster that allows for the shears to snap in with the tool in either the open or closed position.
Leatherman Raptor folded closed and inside sheath.
The Raptor is set to be released May 2013 and is rumored to be priced at $70.

Furniture combining cast aluminium and wood. The negative factor of burnt wood is transformed into aesthetic and emotional value by preservation of the natural form of the tree trunk, within explicit boundaries. The general, squared form intensifies the artificial feeling, and at the same time keeps the memory of the material.
